Since starting his construction journey as a labourer in 2009, Cornel has built a reputation for meticulous planning, incredible teamwork, and a relentless problem-solving mindset. We sat down with him to get his thoughts on the industry, his career, and life at TudorMay.

𝐎𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬: “Programs are tighter these days, with constant pressure to deliver faster. My focus is on balancing quality, safety, and time without letting one slip. Pre-planning is key—if the prep’s right, the quality and programme follow.”
𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: “The Green Quarter Project. The scale of what we achieved and the pace we delivered it at really impressed the client and our team. It was a clear example of planning, coordination, and quality coming together.”
𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: “From site to office, people take ownership. There’s no blame culture—if an issue pops up, we solve it as a team. That mindset keeps morale high on fast-paced jobs.”
𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬: “Dedication and the right mindset. Turn up early, do the graft, and be the person who solves problems instead of pointing them out. Listen to the guys who’ve been doing it for years.”
𝐎𝐟𝐟-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤: “Construction takes a lot out of you. When I’m not on site, it’s all about quality family time. That balance lets me come back on Monday focused and ready.”
