𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮? “I oversee the finance team, ensuring that our records remain accurate, our supply chain is paid efficiently, and the business is always HMRC compliant. I am responsible for credit control, producing forecasts, and overseeing the operational side of the finance department to support the smooth day-to-day running of the business.”
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? “Construction is a fast-moving, constantly evolving sector. One of the biggest challenges is adapting traditional accounting methods to deliver meaningful, real-time management information. It’s about taking rigid financial frameworks and making them work in a way that provides practical insight for business decisions.”

This involved building a stronger team, implementing improved systems, and introducing streamlined processes that support the company’s rapid growth and increasing scale. Seeing those changes make a real operational impact has been highly rewarding.”
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞? “I’m a huge football fan and enjoy keeping up with both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. I have two amazing daughters, and we love spending time outdoors, especially long walks with our dog. As a lifelong animal lover, getting outside and switching off in nature is the perfect way to recharge.”
